A California State Fishing License is required for all anglers 16 years of age and older, when fishing in US waters. Fishing trips that target US waters include 1/2 Day Point Loma Kelp Bed Trips, 3/4 Day Trips that fish the waters off La Jolla, some Full Day Trips.

Mexican Sportfishing Permits are required for anglers of any age while in Mexican waters.
Some trips include the Mexican Sportfishing License in the price of the ticket; some do not.
Excursion Mexican Sportfishing Permits are sold only for anglers
on trips operated from H&M Landing.
