The Bluefin are biting again! The Constitution, Old Glory and the Legend have fish on the deck! Lots of opportunities this week so make your reservations for your shot at catching a fish worth bragging about!

Captain Scott on the Sea Adventure 80 called in with an update, so far they have 16 nice Bluefin Tuna (50-80 pounds). Captain Scott was excited, they were running up on a school of Bluefin, and they were just starting to boil. Stay tuned for updates!

Old Glory has 12 Bluefin on deck, and LOTS splashing around in the area. Captain Kley told us it’s good fishing for those who are properly equipped.

Old Glory returned with 9 Bluefin Tuna weighing in at 40 to 80 pounds.
Sea Adventure 80 departs at 6 PM on 1-1/2 Day trip (only a few spots open) and Daiwa Pacific departs on an overnight at 9 PM – both to target Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail.

Tackle recommended for these offshore trips remains the same:
- 80-100 lb rod/reel set-up, 40-50 lb rod/reel set up – Make sure your line is fresh and your hardware has been recently maintained! (Lighter set-ups will work for Yellowtail, but they aren’t so finicky that a 40-50 lb outfit won’t work.)
- Size 1/o and 2/o hooks (j or circle)
- leader material (best practice- match leader weight to back line weight)
- 250 – 300 gram flat fall jigs.
- small sliding sinkers (assortment of sizes)
